- PRESS RELEASE -
Ever dreamt of a tall ship adventure, set and adjust the huge canvas square sails, take the helm and climbing the mast. Well now is the perfect opportunity as the Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) have a very exciting new winter offer; 'Bring a Buddy for Free’! Choose from one of our beautiful tall ships Lord Nelson or Tenacious, the only two in the world built to enable able bodied and disabled people to experience the challenge of tall ship sailing. As its Lord Nelson’s 25th and Tenacious’ 10th birthday we want to encourage as many people to sail and experience a possibly life changing adventure.
If you haven’t sailed with the JST before, you could share the cost between you or pay for a friend to join you. This offer is available on four voyages in Las Palmas on Lord Nelson and four sailings in Antigua on Tenacious and is available to all. Voyages in Las Palmas cost around £728 and those to Antigua cost £975. Lord Nelson has voyages available between the months of December to February and Tenacious has voyages between January and February.
Join Lord Nelson in Las Palmas this winter and enjoy the sun, sea and sangria whilst island hopping in the Canaries. The Canary Islands provide interesting sailing especially when the wind blows from North Africa. Whether you are looking for the peace and tranquillity of unspoilt fishing villages, the stunning scenery or dramatic volcanic landscapes, the Canaries can deliver.
Join Tenacious in Antigua or Bermuda for 2011 and enjoy some of the most beautiful locations on offer. Voyages start from the charming, historic and stunning Antigua where Admiral Horatio Nelson (the world’s most famous disabled sailor!) established Great Britain’s most important Caribbean base. The Caribbean offers warm, steady winds and safe harbours but don’t forget to visit Shirley Heights for a spectacular view of English and Falmouth harbours.
To summarise what a life changing experience with the JST Angela has described it perfectly:
"It was a wonderful experience, one I will never forget and I will encourage everyone I know to experience a JST voyage at least once in their lifetime."
