The Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST), the UK based international sailing charity is holding a Family Fun Day with an It’s a Knockout Tournament on Sunday 24 July 2011, from 12 noon to 5pm at Totton Sports Club (opposite Abbotswood School). There will be entertainment, music, food and lots of fun activities for all the family. Admission to the Family Fun Day will be £1.50 for adults and 50p for children.
Up to 20 teams of 8-10 people can compete in the It’s a Knockout Tournament to become the ultimate champion of the games which will include: Space Hopper Run, Scramble Hill and Slide, Ball Pool and Basketball Challenge. This will be a great opportunity for friends, families or work colleagues to have fun as a team and to support a fantastic local charity.
A deposit of £50 per team is required and each team member should aim to raise at least £50 in sponsorship. As some games will involve water you’ll need to bring a change of clothes. The JST was set up over 30 years ago and provides sailing adventures which integrate able bodied and disabled crews of amateur sailors under the guidance of professionals aboard their two magnificent tall ships, Lord Nelson and Tenacious.
