Romsey United Reform Church 'Pilots' Group support for the Jubilee Sailing Trust

The Romsey Pilots are a group of 4 to 11 year olds who have made the JST their Charity for 2011. The Southampton JST Support Branch made the initial introductions by way of a talk, firstly to the group and then the wider congregation, followed by support throughout the year at their various fundraising events.

The result was a presentation to the JST of £1122.22 at a recent URC Sunday service, together with an opportunity to share our JST enthusiasm and hopefully encourage the young voyagers of the future. The Pilots group even had a JST themed cake for the occasion and the Pastor used the JST story as the basis for his talk. Five Southampton Branch members were present to accept the cheque and to chat to people afterwards. The Pilots have already made a visit to Tenacious and some from the congregation have sailed on the ships during the past year. Well done everyone for a very successful JST Team effort.
