A member of the voyage crew was airlifted by Portland Coastguard purely as a precautionary measure based on medical advice given to the Ship’s Master.
Contrary to earlier inaccurate reports that the female crew member had sustained a serious head injury, the facts are that she had bumped her head, had no bleeding, cut or headache. On checking with our shore-based medical advisors, their advice was to have her airlifted to A&E as a precautionary measure. She was discharged from hospital the following morning, rejoined her crew mates on board Tenacious in St. Malo.
