- Press Release - The Southampton based charity, Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST), today launched its brand new membership scheme. Members of the public can now become a Friend to either Lord Nelson, Tenacious or Jubilee Sailing Trust.
The scheme is set to replace the existing membership scheme and the trust hopes that this new scheme will have a far more personal touch, inviting people to choose whether to support one of the charity’s two specially designed tall ships' or the Jubilee Sailing Trust itself.
For £36 per year (which can be split into direct debit payments of £3 per month) every Friend will receive a membership card that entitles them to discount in a number of different businesses. They will receive advance notice of the JST voyage programme, invitations to specially arranged JST events and, at the same time, will be providing support to the Jubilee Sailing Trust.
Jubilee Sailing Trust offers able-bodied and disabled people from the ages of 16-100 the chance to challenge themselves and challenge other’s perceptions through the medium of tall ship sailing.
To make this experience as accessible as possible, Jubilee Sailing Trust subsidises each voyage place by 30%. Every £36 donated allows a 24 hour period at sea to be subsidised, giving somebody the chance to sail and, potentially, experience something life changing.
