The voyage started in Palma Majorca on the 30th December we stayed alongside for 2 nights so that we could see in the New Year alongside.
Happy New Year to all our readers! The arrival of 2013 was celebrated in various ways, but most of us got ashore to see how the residents of Palma celebrated. Just before midnight the whole crew mustered on the bridge to ring out the old year and ring in the new on the ship’s bell – thank you Patrick and Katy, who are the eldest and youngest crew on board. The engineers treated us to champagne and the cooks provided some tasty canapés. The warm, sunny weather of Palma is a great relief from the foul weather in the UK. The yards have been braced and this afternoon we sail for Valencia.
