01/08/12 - Tenacious
Dated: 03/08/2012
Our voyage began rather slowly with a night in Southampton docks due to a faulty alternator (we don’t know what that is either), but this led to an evening where everyone got to know one another before Tenacious left port. This also allowed the crew to gain some training on climbing the rigging, which some enjoyed more than others. This was followed by some roast beef and excellent Yorkshire pudding which was a highlight of the sort of fine food we have been treated to on the voyage. Now we are at sea, hugging the south coast preparing to cross the channel, having all been taught this morning how to brace the enormous rigging. We all look forward to the channel crossing as well as what the chef has in store for us this evening…
