We've been sailing for a few days now and, having rounded Land's End are now heading across towards Ireland. This required some heavy ropework from Forward Starboard Watch around midnight as we braced the sails to begin heading North. The hard work was met quite enthusiastically as it nicely counteracted the cold night air and was beautifully backlit with more starlight than I've ever been lucky enough to see before. Today, we've been sailing out of sight of land surrounded by nothing but sea and gulls. Our highlights today have been the many shoals of dolphin, which swam and jumped right next to Tenacious, and the one massive whale spotted off the starboard bow. The weather's nice, Hammie's food is fantastic and we are all having a great time. We're looking forward to spending tomorrow in Ireland before heading off to Cardiff for the final leg on Saturday morning.
