A fantastic sunny start to the day, blue skies and T-shirts weather.
Everyone appears rested this morning, and we enjoyed the full English breakfast before being briefed on the day ahead. We are aiming to leave the berth at 11am, and motor sail along the channel until the wind becomes more favourable this evening, when we will hopefully get sailing.
The second evacuation drill went smoothly, with everyone finding their muster stations quickly. Ali and Richard are now teaching the watches the ropes, pins and coiling skills needed at the main and forward masts, and incase we need extra energy Graham and Sam are cake making for smoko. All over the ship the BMs, Engineers and Cadets are making ready for departure…. A flurry of boiler suited activity !
So, time to store away any loose objects and head for (even ) sunnier shores … we hope !
