Back to the ship update blog
02/05/12 - Lord Nelson
Dated: 02/05/2012
2 May .. Brrrr! We are busy in maintenance, alongside in Southampton, and it is a tad chilly! However, that isn't stopping anyone getting stuck in , with contractors and volunteers in every area on the ship. Water tanks emptied and inspected, turning out vegetables to scrub the locker, life boats ashore for service checks, sails at the sail makers.... the usual busy scene.
Below decks Jude and I are stocktaking bedding, and cleaning out the linen cupboard, amongst other jobs, as the next voyage LN812 starts on the 14th.
So all will be fresh and clean again after our passage home.
Hope that all the crew that helped us sail home are rested now? It was a great voyage, and we look forward to meeting you again in future.
The new, exciting JST Sail The World brochures have arrived on board, and there is much poring over dates and diaries in the evenings, as people plan how long they can be away for!
So, plenty to do, and plenty of hardworking volunteers to make it all happen. It is great to meet up with the regular suspects, and to welcome plenty of new help, a pretty full ship.
