Aft port watch - Forenoon watch
The amazing sunrise an hour before the start of the forenoon watch and a cloudless blue sky heralded another hot day...
Time (and tide) waits for no one! So, the voyage from Dieppe to Cherbourg was a delicate adjustment of sails, when there was a breath, and engine, when there wasn't, in the see-saw called 'tide' while wild cards called 'Explosive dumping area' and 'Fickle wind' tested the zigzag training the watch gained crossing the shipping lanes 48 hours earlier.
We suppose we should not complain the next watch took over just as we were to take Tenacious into Cherbourg' inner basin and Sam had to hand the wheel to Magna - we had taken the ship into Cherbourg. Now we all have the rest of the day to ourselves and Aft port watch will be back at 2200hrs to complete harbour watch for the day.
Tomorrow, Monday? That is another story for someone else to report - we can hope it will be at least as good a day as today, the like of which can only be experienced with JST.
