Aft Starbord
Today is the beginging of the race! This morning all hands called at 07.30 and our gangway was landed at approx 08.30. Our expected departure time was 08.40 but this was delayed somewhat and we were the last ship to leave the friendly city of Waterford at about 09.30. The cruise in company was a spectacular sight, all of the ships were ahead of us as we made our way out the estury into the open sea, along the way people were littered through the waters edge to see us off. The ships gathered off Dunmore east and we made our way to the front of the fleet.
We were second over the line at the start . All went well until the wind died leaving all ships drifting over night. 3 tacks were put in over night and despite this no way was made. Due to this the first mark was passed 3 times!!! We are in for the winning of this race :)
