05/02/12 - Lord Nelson

Saturday evening saw at us anchor off the south coast of Gran Canaria where we enjoyed sundowners and were serenaded by one of the voyage crew playing Spanish classical guitar music followed by a very tasty barbecue cooked by the Engineers on the stern platform. The evening was rounded off with entertainment in the bar on the History of gin and how to make the perfect G&T.Our slumbers were rudely interrupted at 6am by the anchor being raised and we were on our way again motor sailing east into strong winds and building seas until after lunch when we tacked the fore and aft sails and are now heading back to Las Palmas. A wonderful week and a great voyage crew some new friends yet again FS
