LN808. All on board on 3rd March @ Las Palmas Gran Canaria. 9 cadets and fresh voyage crew - all ready to go after briefings, quiet night in. Then first thing Sunday morning, evac drills complete off we set for Tenerife.
Bracing training at sea. Then time for birthday cake (Liz), cards and Happy Birthday to harmonica - from the cruise liner passenger on quayside. - thanks Derek - I especially liked the marzipan. Very rough- several people went to their bunks or kept a close eye on the horizon - The fish especially liked recycled cake!. After setting 6 sails - we were moving too fast and would run out of sea before morning - so lots of time to practice taking in sails. Monday 5th - everyone recovered - into Santa Cruz after breakfast (perfect timing - John). Hands aloft - Bryony & Doug with Sophia and Bob to the second platform! Andy went up in the chair lift! - to top up the comedy suntan (white sunglasses!)- due to being on helm for 3hours yesterday. Free time this afternoon to explore.
