Greetings from Aft Port watch somewhere in the Irish Sea. We had a very pleasant stay in Cobh last night, some of us visited Cork and others found places to eat or socialise in Cobh. It seemed as if all of Ronan's family turned out to greet him when we arrived though he assures us that many were not able to be there. They came on board for a tour of his 'kingdom' and then got to know us better on shore. We all thank them for the lovely welcome they gave us. Barbara recommended the Heritage Museum which wasopposite our berth and well worth a visit (if a little depressing as some of it was about the loss of the Titanic and the Lusitania!) Ronan's family (the Ging clan) kindly let off our mooring ropes this morning and we now have sails set and a fair wind for Land's End.
We are rocking and rolling again and we have soup for lunch! Greetings to all family and friends especially to those who are making the trip to see us arrive in Southampton on Saturday.
Jenny, Jack, Alan, Ken, Tony, Janet and Rob
PS Penelope was laying in Bill's bunk awaiting his return from the pub, it is said that they had a damp night!
PPS For those of you who do not know Penelope is the man overboard dummy :)
