We passed the second way point yesterday afternoon to sail up the Irish Sea on our way to the finish of the Race. After a spell of light winds, the wind is finally in our favour and we're speeding along at about 9 knots and the finish line is about 1 1/2 hours away. We just passed the Isle of Man.
Captain is a racing demon who has had us trimming sails and "tweaking " lines for optimum speed. He says all we need now is a "Go Faster S tripe" - we've done all we can do! Crew are in safe hands, being well fed - with everyone pitching in.
Yesterday, we celebrated the birthdays of "Nellie" and our crew mate , Lucy.
