07/06/12 - Tenacious

Dated: 12/06/2012

Voyage 342, we are heading towards Amsterdam. It has recently come on to rain so we had to pull in the sheets and outer mizzen and the inner and outer jib.
We were going to put some more sails up but because the weather turned for the worst, the Captain, Simon decided not to as the visibility is becoming increasingly poor.
Last night we harboured in Bruges and were allowed to explore the quaint town. It is very pretty and the locals are friendly. I'm in aft port who are currently on watch. Tomorrow we should be in our port in Amsterdam.
Yesterday we went through the lock and the canal of Zebugger, we had to wait near the railway line for 5 minutes as there was a train coming through. A lot of ships stay there as they take cargo all over the world. Tenacious is running quite smoothly at the moment considering the bad conditions.
We can only hope that the weather clears up. Aft Port Watch, Pete, Fliss, Jacques, Caspar, Paul and Rosie
