07/11/2010 - Lord Nelson

Dated: 10/11/2010

We remained moored in Falmouth harbour after a peaceful night, followed by a sunny happy hour.

Then we were free to spend the day in Falmouth.

Falmouth has many places to see. Some of the voyage crew took the ferry to St Mawes to explore the history of Henry's castle.

The Ferry was then very accommodating and dropped the voyage crew straight back onto Lord Nelson..

Other ships in the harbour included Frederick Chopin,a Polish training ship.FrederickChopin had been dismasted earlier in the week by a freak storm.

She looked very sad at the sight of her masts hanging down.

This brought home the fragility of man and the powers of the seas Eventually all crew returned to the ship for an exciting evening of horse racing. This was hosted by our own John Mcquirick (alias Mike Van Barren,BM)

Papa Ray (AP);the stunning Mandy (CA) .
