Voyage 332 Tenerife to Guadeloupe Day 9: Sunday 9 January 2012
Under a jewelled sky and azure sea we continue our steady progress under full sail. We are now on a direct course for Guadeloupe, leaving Cape Verde behind us. We are amazingly alone out here, two birds circled close by this morning, but otherwise the wildlife is spectacular in its observable absence. A small church service was held this morning. We all relished the balmy warmth of 22C, and much skin (pasty) has now been exposed to the burning sun. Morale is high - the crew are settled into the daily routine and it is hard to believe that our readers are in mid-winter!
