09/02/12 - Lord Nelson

Arrived La Palma just in time for dinner, weather overcast, raining. Sea sickness subsided, some going ashore for dinner, missing the roast lamb and rhubarb crumble which was the first well attended meal since leaving Las Palmas.
Several people went ashore to explore and taste the local beverages. On return to the ship the gangway was steep to climb as the tide was high. It wasn't long and the permanent crew put the problem right.
We woke up to clear skies. Some departed on a trip around the island; others stayed and explored the town. As soon as the day trip returns we will set sail again, for La Gomera. From the Local Explorers, Lindsay, Jos, Pete, Tim, Kieran, Jim, Mel, Karen, who are full of local coffee and tapas.
