We are beautifully berthed alongside in Great Yarmouth, having risen from our bunks at 06.45 to raise the anchor, strip the bunks and enjoy our bacon butties. Then it was hands to harbour stations once the pilot had come aboard. We glided into Gt Yarmouth, with a nifty approach in reverse all the way , a quick twirl and Port side to, with not even a kiss to the quay ! Well done Captain Neil , the voyage crew were astounded with their first and last approach of this voyage !
So the gangway is in place, and the ship is smart and clean, and we are going to be fed again before making our farewells. Last night was great fun,as Chipps and Dave got us into race night mode in the bar – bets were on and the track was challenging – we raised over £260 – many thanks to you all.
This weekend will see visitors arriving, and the public looking around – even some clowns performing in the rigging ( not the usual ones! )
So, goodbye crew 789 , it was fun and we hope to see you soon .
