10/07/12 - Lord Nelson

We started racing today, crossing the start line at 07 24 after having to wake up at 06 00 to set the sails. We had bacon butties for breakfast, which we shared with our new resident/mascot, Terry the racing pigeon, who is going to bring us good luck. We hope that he is racing to Lisbon as well otherwise he is probably on the wrong boat. We had a lovely sight whilst on our afternoon watch, some dolphins came to say hello. We have put the fishing line out to supplement our food supplies following the massive success of the tapioca. We are now travelling at a not too shabby 8.1 knots with raw sailing power.
