11/05/12 - Tenacious

We are on first watch. As darkness falls, steaming lights appear on our
starboard side going west. We are going east and need to cross the
separation lane. Red over green shows we are a sailing vessel, but will all
the ships in the area know that? The captain lights our main mast to
illuminate the sails and we sail on. Before going off watch we hand the
royals and main course. THEN TO BED.
North wind blowing now after a brilliant sail under full canvas apart from
spanker. We are approaching the end of the voyage
With France showing close to starboard. We will soon be in Jersey.
