A peaceful night with occasional squalls, we kept full sail and continued to make good progress. Maximum speed 8.2 knots, mini mum 3.2 knots. Many other race vessels have been sighted and we are waiting for race control to confirm our position with respect to them.
We are currently crossing the Bay of Biscay which is not living up to its reputation - we have gentle seas and sunshine. A Fire drill was completed by the permanent crew this morning. Dolphins have been sighted and latterly, possibly a whale. Aft Starboard Watch - Andrew, James, Jon, Richard, Paul and Sam.
