Monday 11th ~Feb Syracuse, Sicily. Exploring day for many VC,housekeeping
for PC. Mike mended another sail and revarnished one of therails. After
assisted climbs and the voyage photo the ship was visited byItalian TV and
local dignatories. Cap'n John was presented with gifts for theship and the
ladies of the ship were photographed for an Italian Women'sFederation
article. Then time to explore the city and the amazing cathedralwhich
started life as a Greek Temple and was built into a Catholiccathedral,
recycling at it's best! After a busy day exploring most of the VChave
stayed ashore for a little Italian cuisine to strengthen their resolvefor a

Tuesday 12th Feb
After a great night ashore in Riposto the following morning we set sail
underblue skies and light winds,perfect" gin and tonic sailing" and a
sunbathingcrew.
What a winter tonic Mount Etna is,looking snowy and picturesque inthe
afternoon sun.Soon we are back to our sailing as the wind shifts, backto
the braces tough life at sea!!
