We are leaving Oporto after a 24 stopover. Many went sightseeing around the cathedral and port-wine makeres. We are heading for Lisbon and the wind is, yet again, not favourable as it is from the SW. The sun in shining and all aboard are happy. For me it is my birthday and I was surprised at Smoko with a fantastic cake. Many thanks to Dave the cook.
Time to set staysails to help this lovely ship stay a bit more upright.
Farewell from this part of the Portuguese coast.
The expectation of the Captain and hence the crew is that we will arrive in Lisbon on the 14th and all be home in time for Christmas so in the meantime we can avoid those Christmas crowds and rushes and enjoy the excitement of surfing the Atlantic rollers - More may follow XXXXX Lord Nelson crew and Sarah
