We had a good sail up to Jersey although the wind was very cold - lots of
layers required for those on the bridge. The pilot boarded at 3pm and we
came into a rapturous welcome from Alex's Family on the Quay - The best news for the galley was Alex's mum had been to the super-market so no shopping for Hammie today!
Just a few extra supplies to top up for the last few days and our last night
BBQ - So far we have managed to use up just over 1100 eggs - and 300
yoghurts not to mention the 100 gallons of milk! We have provided 29
different smoko treats - with a few more still to come- tomorrow will be sea
salt & fudge brownies made by the fabulous cooks assistant Margaret - If the
captain had her way we think it would be 'Chelsea bun's every day!
The menu for the last month has taken us around the world including Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Moroccan and good old traditional English fare. Everyone enjoyed an evening out in St Helier and today are exploring the island in beautiful Jersey sunshine - we will be heading out towards Southampton tomorrow with good sailing winds to carry us home.
