Today has seen a turning point in our voyage. At 1500 hours came the call all hands on deck to sail setting stations. Both topsails have been set and we are now truly a ship under sail. The wind is in the south and we are set too much to the east. Happily the wind is expected to veer to the north east in the next 12 hours so that we will then set the forecourse and sail southwards. During our first dog watch Ian caught a tuna fish which was served up as a starter for supper. He caught another very much bigger one but it got away! This morning after smoko Helen gave a talk/instruction in basic German which was well received.
