The day opened wet and windy and also in the wrong direction for us,a North Westerely.
Today,however is our day of departure by 9.40am the engineers had the engine tested,9.50am the lines were let go and by 11am the Lord Nelson had passed the pier heads of Las Palmas.
Heavy rain showers continued through out the morning and unfortunately a few of the voyage crew succumed to sea sickness.
By midday things were settling and all voyage crew helped with putting up the sails Evening and night time the watches were in full swing and the first of many more to come on this homeward journey.
