I am on the day sail from Southampton along the Solent and back again on the Lord Nelson. I’m having lot’s of fun helping to do the ropes and helping to set the sails. The best bit so far has been going up the mast onto the platform near the top. Later I want to have a try at helming the ship. The food is wonderful and I would love when I am old enough to go on one of the week sails . The reason I am on this day sail is because I am raising money for the charity JDRF or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I am having and know I will have a fantastic day which I will always remember.
