17/09/11 - Tenacious

Dated: 20/09/2011

We weighed the anchor at 10 am in Rosslare after a peaceful night. We motor-sailed southwards until early afternoon when the wind veered and we were able to set square sails. A school of dolphins was sighted and played in our bow wave for quite some time. Weather is windy (good) waves are big and bumpy (not so good for some). Rough weather caused great amusement in the lower mess as some voyage crew dived to retrieve their dinner plates and cups, while others were hanging over railing in hope to grow sea legs.
At around 7 am we passed Land's End and set course (SE) to the Channel Islands. The sun is shinning, the wind blowing, we spotted some container ships and most sufferers are again on their feet and smiling :0)
