As the wind had left us the sails were handed on the 18th at 9:30pm.Slowly we motored throughout the night to our next anchorage, Playa Blanca on the island of Lanzarote.
The dawn broke with a fine day, calm seas and good visibility.
By 11:03 the port anchor was was dropped and all crew were taken ashore to explore.
4pm everyone was back on board for swimming from the side of the ship in refreshing clear blue waters. The brave either jumped or dived while the less brave quietly entered the water by way of the ladder.
Among the amazing divers and jumpers were James, Kevin, David, Johan, Maria, Karen and many more.
After the swim and a good shower the engineers had prepared a tasty drink to have on the bridge at sundown.
Once the sun had dropped and the sundowners drunk the engineers and cooks produced a delicious barbecue with a variety of meats and fish.
So the party went on with the memories of the large waves and winds the crew of 758 had seen on their voyage to the Canaries.
