20/06/12 - Lord Nelson

We have all had a lovely day. 6.45 start for many of us as we were on passage and we were taking an early pilot for the 7.00 lock to enter the port of St Malo France.
Well worth it though as it is a beautiful medieval walled city. We had a free afternoon to explore and enjoy the sunshine. However, before that we had a busy but fun filled morning. We had our watch photos taken on shore after breakfast. Aft port displaying a range of exciting and exotic head gear.press ganged to wear by the fearsome black blooded pirate watchleader Kevin. The highlight was the assisted climbs. Sammy climbed all the way up to the fighting tops. Maggie climbed and did a great job of not breaking her big posh camera en route. Sarah climbed and she went out on the yard for the first time. Tim and Alex went all the way to the mast-head and touched the button. Well done guys! 5 of us are now in the galley scoffing cookie Dave's wonderful pudding of waffles, lychees and chocolate ice cream.
