Voyage Crew log, stardate 20/06/2011, position Tobermory.
It was sunny in Oban, and it seems like weeks ago. Was it only yesterday we were contemplating shorts and most of us had no idea what a futtock was, or if we did, would have wondered if it was legal. Now we are working as a well oiled machine, in some senses, and we at least look the part. Like extras from a very old fish-finger advert, we are in fetching yellow oilies from head to foot, rain dripping down our furrowed brows as we heave away cheerfully, usually on the wrong bit of rope. Some of us have worked out how to have a shower, some of us don’t care and most of us don’t notice. We are still fairly civilised at mealtimes, but feel things may yet degenerate. We are heading for almost foreign shores tomorrow, if they let us in……
