Another glorious day in tropical waters, so hot in fact that we`d love to jump in and swim. Nat has just been testing the fire hoses and anyone lucky enough to get in the way was able to get welcome relief from the heat. The engines are off and we`re sailing along under all but one square sail and a couple of staysails + the Christmas tree which must be increasing our speed by a good knot or two??! No wildlife spotted in the sea today, but yesterday we saw pilot whales twice.
Tim is preparing to do his talk later this afternoon on `Tales of the Riverbank - Living on a Houseboat` which we are all looking forward to. Aft Port is also busily engaged in choral practice for the carol singing competition to be held later this week, alongside the kite making competition - kites and carols - always a seasonal duo - of course!
