Hello again , the ship has a real buzz about the decks today , as the Coldstream Guards and the Irish school girls , with two Girl Guides take to the rigging …
Everyone had good flights yesterday , and even landed early , so were able to enjoy an afternoon of hot sunshine before our routine safety and introductory briefings.
Captain John is still heading our team , the only Permanent Crew changes this voyage being two BMs – Mike VB and Josh… who are both helping up on the yards now.
We are all delighted to have the infamous " dad" Derek with us again as Cooks Assistant to Dave … a squeal of happiness greeted him from the Irish girls .. many memories of fun last May .
We plan to leave the berth at 14.00 and will sail through the night , heading away to La Palma.
Trestles are being set up for lunch on deck , and then it will be hands to harbour stations for the last Canaries voyage of this season.
Once the Watches are underway and the crew are into routine , I’m sure that they will update you with the nautical bearings , sea state etc !
Hope you all got home easily from 767 , it was great fun … as usual !
