Departing Jersey midday-ish on Tuesday, we set sail towards Dieppe. Much sail handling - up 'n down, up 'n down, up 'n down - gave us a speed of up to 8 knots. The ship's company enjoyed a peaceful night, followed by a grey dawn and fair wind and tide. Too fair, in fact, because we have now been compelled to shorten sail to just a stitch in order to rendezvous with the Dieppe pilot on time instead of too early. We expect to be alongside at 1600 in the inner harbour very near the centre of the town and close to - yippee!
