After a wonderfully musical wake up call from Emma and Dora the ship arose
for breakfast. After morning briefing it was all hands aloft practice, most
crew members made it up the mast and out onto the yard arms, all now ready
for the real thing! After coming back down we practiced bracing the yards
ready for sailing this afternoon (Lots of pulling, grunting and "2-6"
shouting!).
We left Santa Cruz as planned under motor and put the sails up as soon as we
could. The plan is to stay under sail until we reach La Gomera.
At about 5:50 There were Dolphins spotted of the starboard bow (starboard
bow, starboard bow!- to the theme of star trek song) watches continued
through the night, as did the sailing. 24 Degrees, blue skies and sea, as
you can all imagine we are missing the UK already!
