23/11/12 - Lord Nelson
Dated: 25/11/2012
Day 36 23rd Nov
As King Neptune promised, the winds have picked up and all square sails were set this morning, some even before breakfast, and we are sailing along accompanied by a number of Red-footed and Masked Boobies, which delight with their fishing prowess and spectacular plummeting dives. Now for the fashion up-date: Queen Neptunia, after yesterday’s ceremony, now has alluring natural fishnet tan legs and pink shoulder straps – the price of coming up from the deep-sea caves! The sunsets continue to be spectacular and the size and brilliant reddish-orange of the equatorial sun just before it disappears below the horizon is amazing. Work continues on the deck-house and now that the initial preparation is coming to an end, the first coats of paint are soon to be applied. Nev is plotting his revenge after having been ambushed in what was to have been a deck-scrubbing activity but which ended with him jet-washed while busy scrubbing the heads. And so the jolly drama continues…… Forward Port: Kate, Ali, Nev, David, Tom, Agata and Nick.
