24/10/12 - Tenacious
Dated: 25/10/2012
Sail hauled on Tuesday evening and course altered as we motored northwards across some busy shipping lanes. During a cloudy windy night some course changing was required (in accordance with Col Reg) to avoid the various vessels making their way across the Irish Sea. The morning was grey but we were 15 miles south of Galloway and after mid morning we had set sail again eventually breaking into warm (well warmish) sunlight along the charming west coast of Scotland to starboard and the fair hills of Antrim to port.
The wind has just become variable in direction and because we have a small watch on duty, we have completed a three point turn to avoid bracing the yards. Great move! FS
