24/12/12 - Lord Nelson
Dated: 24/12/2012
24th Dec Christmas Eve
Well…..you just would not believe it is Christmas Eve!!.........sitting on board, listening to Christmas carols (in cool 40 degrees) anchored in bay on Islha de Grange, after a morning swim off Lord Nelson-water temp 27 degrees….sooo nice-tho, some quite peculiarly spectacular ideas of diving going on-not least by our Brazilian contingency, especially Jefferson’s filmed banshee impression…..awesome!! Vera and Yuri have a group of other voyagers out in the bay, scuba-diving on the site of an old wreck ( I’ve Just checked…Taff’s on board so not him!!) so should be some good tales once they return! Heading off to other side of Island a bit later this afternoon, to anchor near one of the top 10 beaches in Brazil, but more importantly… ….a shop!!! This is especially for Kyle, as he has only brought 32 kilograms of artic gear and boots for some reason!!....
Bring on the mankini, Chepstow boy!!!
Tom is celebrating his birthday today, 112 and looking good for a Belgian…expecting beer and chocolates at the celebrations tonight obviously!!.
We will be at anchor for next 2 nights including Xmas Day…..which hopefully will be spent on beach. This sailing malarkey is such hard work………or so the permanent crew keep telling us!!
