A full day of sail from 1am through to 4pm.
By 4pm the wind had decided to leave us.All the sails were handed except the main course which had been taken down earlier for repairs to be made to the sacrificial cloth.
Apart from the sailing it was a day for watching mother nature.Basking sharks were sighted around midday as their large floppy fins showed above the surface. The watch decided that they must have been at least 10 metres long.Following the basking sharks we had a display from the dolphins.
Not all the sightings were in the sea we also had several visiting birds, two of which we believe are warblers They settled down in a corner of the stern deck away from all the activity and we hope they will stay until they are in reach of land.Simon and Lawrence braved a climb to the very top of the main mast, well done boys .
