January 26, 'A SPAT OF 'FINE’ WEATHER'
With clearing skies in the morning,it looked promising here in the Canaries,however slowly the weather began to turn. By the time we took over for the 2000-2400 watch it was, how shall I say, challenging. Pitching and rolling and healing. Did I mention the rolling…70 degrees side to side. Yes, it was all that and more. This is a taste of life at sea on the Lord Nelson. Did I omit some details? Well, yes. But you’ll need to come sail with us to get a real grasp on what those details are. Experience it yourself…we have muscles we didn’t know about and are getting fitter daily.
17.00 We are alongside in Fuertoventura and looking forward to supper and a stroll ashore ..and raise a glass for Janes birthday today and others to come in the week, a great way to spend a birthday .
