Hello, it’s us again. Christmas is over and it’s back on our heads. This morning started bright and early with a screech of Bosun’s mates advising us blokes on the starboard side that we should vacate our bunks or 'some fink will 'appen’. Despite repeated hints that there is another anchor on the other side, it seems to fall on deaf ears. Last year coming back from the Canaries was much the same, starboard anchor, blokes woken early while the birds are snoring their heads off. What will happen if the port anchor develops a complex of being unwanted? Will it refuse to come out of its box, or will it tear itself loose screaming "I wanna break free….."
Be very careful, Bosun’s mates, something’s can’t be ignored all the time.
Rio in sight now and the promise of an on deck BBQ……mind you they are going to have to go some to beat last nights effort…full Xmas Dinner for everyone in forward mess with permanent crew serving it…brilliant meal, ambience and joie de vie—capped off with Will’s jokes…does it really get any better we ask ourselves?
