Where to start? Christmas Day was amazing, slightly strange though. Lunch was superb, as always, and everyone had a good time. A few of us headed to the beach to work off our lunch and then came back to join in with the ongoing celebrations on the boat. Harbour watches started at 22.00 and the party still kept going till the small hours of the morning, with a few tipsy lads entertaining the late night party animals among us.
Shame some of us had to be up two hours later.
Boxing Day started off ok until we got told the news that we were heading back to Las Palmas today, bring on another bout of sea sickness, or so the pessimists thought.
The morning started off with doing the assisted climbs, much to the amusement of the docked cruise ship passengers. The sight of around 25 people hoisting a person in a wheelchair up the mast must be a strange sight for some. Not long after that we set sail and were back on the open seas, Lunch came and went without much interesting happening.
We just had 'Happy Hour’ and everyone is taking a well deserved rest and having a catch up on sleep, so we’re all bright eyed and bushy tailed for our late night watches tonight. The good news is the swell has died down and everyone was ok no more seasickness.
