Day 9 27th Oct
This is THE life. The seas are getting bluer, the skies clearer and the sun warmer. A large rolling sea is making life difficult below but lots of fun for those on deck as we effortlessly sail to 9 knots - with several people up the foremast admiring the view.
The sweepstake is gradually filling up with guesses on the distance to Las Palmas and there’s already lots of talk of what we’ll be doing once we get there – mainly enjoying the sunshine!
Aft Starboard’s daily exercise routines are making an attempt at balancing the huge amounts of food we’re eating, unfortunately we keep having to postpone because we’re too full. The current aim is for the girls to manage more than one pull up.
Tonight the clocks will be going back one hour and to celebrate we’ll all be heading to the bar for a pub quiz while the Permanent Crew takes over watch duty.
We’re off to find some sunscreen now…..how many days before people start complaining about the heat?
