We embarked on our short voyage. We motored out from Southampton docks at 5 PM and headed for Yarmouth in the Isle of Wight, where we anchored late evening. The sea was slight, despite the 25 knot winds, and we spent the evening learning how to turn (brace) the yards.
Earlier we had learnt how to use the harnesses ready for going aloft tomorrow (Sunday). The supper was amazing moussaka and baked cheesecake and we had some time to get to know each other in the bar afterwards. A good end to the first day of our voyage.
