29/06/12 - Tenacious

After a foggy arrival in St Helier, the sun came out for everyone to explore the town (and dispose of several pizzas and beers in the evening). We are currently heading back to Southampton under sail, in gorgeous sunshine. Course, upper and lower topsails and t’gallant up on the foremast, lower and upper topsails and t’gallant up on the main mast, inner and outer jibs, and staysail. We’re doing about 8 knots. 10am – The pilot is on board and we are heading into Southampton, with the course being stowed, and Happy Hour over, The cabins are vacated and cleaned, and there is "S:munch" to look forward to at 11.15 – a smoko/lunch !

Then it is fond farewells and travel time, with a happy crew who are planning to return soon. Thanks to them all for a great voyage, and plenty of hard work with good cheer.
