As the sun beats down out of the bright blue sky, the maintainers of Tenacious are beginning to look rather more brown than white - though one or two will never really get past the off-white stage! Maintenance continues - sanding, painting and varnishing to keep the ship in good order; renewing some of the safety lines aloft to keep people safe on the yards; work on the RO plant to ensure we have a good supply of fresh water for the trip to Guadeloupe in January and on the air conditioning plants to keep us cool.
There's a whole range of jobs going on. With other sailing ships in and out too, we've had drinks with Christian Radich and a look around the new Alexander von Humboldt. The latter only started sailing in September - remember when Tenacious was that new?
