Well hello followers.
It is your ever friendly captain from Lord Nelson. Here we are coming to the end of our long passage back to the UK.
The weather gods have not been too kind this year. You lucky people had a big area of high pressure over the UK this meant we had all the horrible weather on passage with the wind being north or north east most of the way home. Marcos trustworthy diesels made sure we have got home on time.
We all enjoyed a much needed stop in Falmouth after 13 days at sea and sailed today for the Solent in torrential rain. By lunchtime it was all gone and we have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon sailing with the wind behind us.
Lord Nelson is looking half smart ready for her birthday party on the 16th of April. We managed to paint one side in the Canaries. Any of you willing maintainers out there who would like to give up some of your valuable time and help us for the next two weeks please contact Lynn to book a place.
I am looking forward to a much needed rest after being on the ship for five weeks.
